What is the Military Diet?
The military diet is nothing more than a fad diet. I know someone in the military who just went through boot camp and the so-called military diet I see online is nothing like the food that the army feeds you. Keep in mind that 99% of the diets on the market today, many that you can buy in the books store are all fad diets. I never recommend following any type of diet. If you do, most likely you'll fail and gain the weight back. Loosing body fat is a matter of simply reducing your calories and exercising with intensity. I see to many people going to the gym, and not trying at all when they work out. I do not care how old yo are; you must exercise with intensity. The military diet is not a food diet, but an exercise routine. When you are in the military, you essentially have someone telling you when to do push ups, pull ups, squats and other exercises. You do not have a choice; they push you to failure. When yo workout by yourself without a trainer, you can choose when to stop. This is why people get into such good shape after they join the military. They eat 3 times a day, and exercise ALOT.
Here is what I suggest you do if you want to follow a military diet.
1) Eat only three times a day and no snacking.
2) No sugar.
3) Each meal needs meat or some source of protein.
4) exercise everyday for at least 1 hour. And I am talking about free weights and body weight exercises, not jogging, walking, or using the treadmill.
5) cardio should be done every day as well. Go out and buy a rok pack and wear that around while you work out. It will simulate the military back pack you wear.
